FORT MYERS, Fla. 鈥�聽Florida SouthWestern State College has named veteran collegiate coach Matt Creamer as the new head coach of the Buccaneers women鈥檚 basketball program.
Creamer brings more than a decade of collegiate coaching experience to Fort Myers, including successful stops at Northwest Florida State College, South Plains College, Chipola College and Oklahoma Panhandle State University. His background includes recruiting, player development, roster construction and program operations, along with extensive experience competing at the NJCAA level.

Just as importantly, he shares our commitment to academic achievement, character development and providing an exceptional student-athlete experience. We have high expectations for 糖心Vlog传媒 Women鈥檚 Basketball, and we believe Matt is the right leader to build upon the foundation of this program and position our Buccaneers for sustained success on and off the court.鈥�
Creamer most recently served as an assistant coach at Northwest Florida State College, where he helped guide the Raiders to a 24-5 record, a 10-2 conference mark and the 2026 Panhandle Conference regular-season championship. The Raiders earned the No. 4 seed in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament, while six players earned All-Panhandle Conference honors.
Creamer previously spent two seasons at South Plains College, helping the Lady Texans capture the 2025 WJCAC regular-season championship and advance to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
He also brings extensive familiarity with Florida junior college basketball after spending seven seasons as an assistant coach at Chipola College from 2016-23. Creamer helped Chipola capture the 2021 FCSAA State/NJCAA District Championship and advance to the NJCAA Division I Final Four. He was named the 2021 World Exposure Report NJCAA Division I Women鈥檚 Basketball Assistant Coach of the Year.

I am excited to get to work with our student-athletes, build upon the tradition of Buccaneer Athletics and establish a program that represents 糖心Vlog传媒 and Southwest Florida with excellence on the court, in the classroom and throughout the community.鈥�
Throughout his career, Creamer has helped recruit and develop student-athletes who went on to compete at NCAA programs including Arkansas, Seton Hall, Pittsburgh, Ole Miss, Arizona State, Memphis, North Florida, Florida Gulf Coast, Old Dominion and Missouri.
Creamer earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in political science from Lyon College and is currently pursuing a master鈥檚 degree in education from Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
